Correspondent, The Globe and Mail


Iain Marlow is the Asia-Pacific correspondent for The Globe and Mail, Canada’s main national newspaper, writing long-form features and analysis pieces on international business and important political trends in the region. Since joining the Globe in 2010, he has reported from China and West Africa, covered elections in India and Indonesia, and written about economics in Japan and Australia. In 2012, he was nominated for several National Magazine Awards, while his reporting from Nigeria won a Society of American Business Editors and Writers Best in Business award for international feature. The following year, he spent six months as a media trainer in Ghana with Journalists for Human Rights, a Canadian NGO. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and human rights from Ottawa’s Carleton University and a master’s degree in International Politics from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
