Pia Malbran

Producer and Reporter, In-Depth Films


Pia Malbran is an enterprise/investigative/documentary producer and reporter who runs her own New York-based production company, In-Depth Films.  Last year, she helped produce ABC’s Hurricane Katrina anniversary special and oversaw the production of a six-part primetime ABC survival series. Prior to that, Malbran spent eight years as an investigative producer at CBS News, was an investigative producer at CNN, and a special projects producer at local NBC, ABC, Fox and PBS affiliate stations. In 2014, she was part of a team honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy for Best Report in a News Magazine for producing a two-part 60 Minutes report about the prison and terrorist trials at Guantanamo Bay. Malbran has a master's degree in journalism, is fluent in Spanish and previously served as president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists South Florida Chapter. Twitter: @PiaMalbran
